12 Days of Christmas, Day 8: The Best Band Reunions of 2010

2010 wasn't just a year for bands establishing their careers; it was also for bands who revitalized their careers. In a move that was likely started by blink-182's announcement at the Grammy's, many bands set aside their differences and reunited to tour, record, or a little bit of both. And with that, let the listing begin for the best bands who reunited (if only for a little while) in 2010:

Blink-182: Although we haven't heard anything from Mark, Tom, and Travis together since they announced their triumphant return at the 2010 Grammy Awards, they've been doing more than enough on their own: Hoppus now has his on shoe on Fuse called A Different Spin, while Tom DeLonge has been recording the new Angels and Airwaves album Love Pt. 2, while Barker finished up his first solo album. However, let's be honest: no one is going to care about any of this until the new Blink album comes out. Wake up, guys: its time to get to work.

Yellowcard: If Blink-182 are being ridiculed for not recording fast enough, no one should have a problem with Yellowcard. Since announcing their reunion, the group have written, recorded, and completed a new album, and have recently announced a tour with All Time Low. While I'm one who would wish for a headlining tour (with better bands), it's still awesome to see them working so hard to get back into the spotlight.

Something Corporate: The pop-punk kings whose break-up sparked the wondrous power-pop group Jack's Mannequin decided to come back and remind people of what they were missing in 2010, a reunion which included a spot on the Bamboozle (left and right) Main Stage and a spot on the cover of Alternative Press (if that means something anymore). It was awesome to see the band back together, but with a new Jack's Mannequin album on the horion in 2011, it looks as if this reunion was just a tease.

Matchbook Romance: After a pretty decent stay atop the emo scene, Matchbook called it quits in 2008 or so, but returned for a series of shows in 2010. Though it seems as if this was an isolated incident (drummer Aaron Stern is now drumming for the Craig Owens project Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows), it was still awesome to see the live videos that surfaced.

There were quite a few other little reunions that weren't listed, so let me turn it over to you: whose reunion were you buzzing about this year? What bands do you think will/want to see rise from their ashes and reunite in 2011? Leave it in the comments!
