To start this off, allow me to apologize for the three-day weekend I took from this special I'm running here. Now, let's get down to business. This year, television took a bit of getting used to. From the tearful goodbye the world said to Lost to the obnoxious dance beats coming from Miami, it's clear to see that the face of television's best offerings have changed their appearance drastically. Nevertheless, there were a few shows that I found myself watching regularly this year, and let's take a look at those, with my list of the best TV shows of 2010:
The League (FX)-This off-the-wall comedy about the goings-on of a not-so-typical fantasy football league made waves with its first season in a brief six-episode experiment in late 2009, and 2010 saw The League see the light of late night on FX for a full season this semester, and they brought the laughs. It's very hard to describe what makes this show so funny, so you'll just have to make a point to catch the third season, whenever it should come around.
Jersey Shore (MTV)- Say what you want about the train wrecks that star in the show, but they sure do know how to entertain. The Situation, Sammi Sweetheart, J-Woww, DJ Pauly D, Snooki, Vinny and Ronnie (who need horrible nicknames like everyone else) returned to rooming with each other, this time taking their, um, "talents" to South Beach, tearing up the Miami nightlife for some intense creeping, cat fighting, and above all else, promoting a Grenade-Free America. And I'm sure we're all so thankful for their efforts.
South Park (Comedy Central)- Tackling the BP oil spill, Facebook, and countless other controversial topics, South Park turned in yet another raunchy, offensive, and hilarious season, proving that Matt Stone and Trey Parkerr still have it, even if they need help from the dark lord Cthuulu from time to time.
Glee (Fox)- Everybody's favorite guilty pleasure was satisfied as New Directions returned for another year of great songs, slushees, and a whole lot of drama. With each of their characters developing and growing at the same time, Glee has become one of the most interesting shows to follow, and cameos by John Stamos and Britney Spears (yeah, that totally happened) didn't hurt, either.
At this point, you know the drill: leave what TV shows you watched the most in the comments.
