12 Days of Christmas, Day 6: The Best Music Videos of 2010

I know, I know. The world of music videos is practically imploding: the two main stations that play them (MTV and VH1) rarely do anymore, and they are becoming a smaller part of the equation in an artist's scheme for world domination. However, 2010 has given us a slew of videos, long and short, that may just help to revive the struggling market of music videos. Click the song titles below to view the top music videos of 2010, and have some hope that MTV hears the calls for more videos one of these days.

Minus the Bear- "My Time"
It's T-Shirt time! Excuse the Jersey Shore reference, but Minus the Bear had it coming with their colorful, groove-tastic video for "My Time." Featuring a slew of talented female dancers and an awesome concept, MtB were able to push their album OMNI even further, marking one of the highest points in their now illustrious career.

Kanye West- "POWER," "Runaway"
Kanye took to both ends of the spectrum in 2010, releasing a ninety-second "moving painting" for "POWER," and then the half-hour long film "Runaway" within mere months of each other. Both tracks are off of Kanye's new album, and showcase West's artisitc vision better than any of the megastar's videos ever could have.

Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce- "Telephone"
Prison! Poison! Tyrese Gibson! A yellow pick-up truck! The seven-minute video for "Telephone" had it all: Lady Gaga's crazy outfits, Beyonce's patented booty-shaking, and enough twists to turn your car upside-down. 2010 may very well be remembered as the year of Gaga, and with the video for "Telephone," which MTV reportedly banned the showing of on its channel (not that they play music videos anyway), Lady Gaga proves she's here to stay as one of the most influential artists in today's music scene.

FYS had a monster year in 2010, with the stellar Enemy of the World being released in February, drawing thousands of fans every day on Warped Tour, and an overall relentless touring schedule to support their new album and fans. The video for "Tonight" is just about as intense and fun-loving as the band is, as the bearded band trudge through in colonial garb in what appears to be a battle re-enactment.

Valencia emerged in 2010 with a new album, and the title track provides their catchiest work yet, and the video adds to the song's uplifting message very well. Valencia ccan do no wrong in my eyes, so I really just wanted to find an excuse to talk about how awesome they are. Enjoy the video, please.

Dancing, beards, naked women, t-shirts, and great music; the music videos of 2010 had it all. So now the question should be asked: what did I miss? What videos did you watch the most this year? Leave it in the comments, please!
